Plans
2012

Well, I need to redo my journal. I also need to go to lectures. Not necessarily in that order. Anyhow, here's what I intend to do...

My journal as is leaves a lot to be desired. There is no common style in use between my normal view and my friends view. However, I have a plan for it... There will be a sidebar, holding links to:

My Journal
My Friends View
My Calendar
My Portal
A few friends' journals

Most of these are self explanatory. The last one will basically be just "David's Journal", "Scott's Journal" etc. That way, it gives people looking at my journal the chance to see how other people have done their styles.

What might need further explaining is "My Portal". This is basically where I'm going to keep all my stuff - it'll most likely be a directory on DavidAndJames.com, which will hold a few things. Firstly, it'll hold everything from my room that I might need while I'm out (information-wise - it's not likely that I can upload a pen or something). That means that if I need to read my timetable, I'll have a copy somewhere up there. I'll have a list of deadlines, should I need them, and any java files or essays I'm working on both at home and in the labs, for synchronicity. Naturally, the java files and essays will either need to be protected, or at the very least given obscure names, to prevent people here from getting at them until after I've handed them in. After that time, you're free to use them as some sort of weird reference tool.

Also, and slightly more importantly than the above, I need to complete the Adjective Army FAQ. I've written much of it, but not nearly enough - all I have is the first half. I've posted it, using a rather quickly put together second half, but I'd like to rewrite it. Then there's a second FAQ, the Adjectivization Mini-FAQ, which we can post to our victims. This particular FAQ will not mention our home groups in any way, which will then enable us to bug them for at least a few days before they find out who we are. Our next target is not to be revealed just yet, but it'll be fun. David, Scott, and everybody else who post to Usenet, you're all welcome to join us. Watch alt.fan.adjective-army for further details.

Anyhow, I may as well go back to the flat soon. If everybody is out, then I'll make myself an Ultimate Sandwich. This involves the following layers, in specifically this order:
  1. Toasted Bread
  2. Butter
  3. Peanut Butter
  4. Cheese
  5. Bacon
  6. Marmite
  7. Butter
  8. Toasted Bread
  9. Butter
  10. Peanut Butter
  11. Bacon
  12. Cheese
  13. Marmite
  14. Butter
  15. Toasted Bread

Trust me, you have never tasted anything nicer, or indeed more fattening. But fat is good...

Anyhow, other projects include:

Writing a song on my guitar. I really want to take the nice chord progression I've already got and put it to some good words. I have an intro, a chorus, and what could well be a verse. Just need some words

Doing some art. I spent just £3 and got a pad of plain paper, a pad of squared paper, a pad of lined paper, 2H, H, HB, B and 2B pencils, a sharpener, and an eraser. I now need to put pencil to paper, and start doing drawings again. I've totally lost the ability to do so, so I'd better start learning bloody quickly. It'd be well nice to have black and white manga as part of my LJ layout, but I doubt it'll happen. It might :o)

Getting to lectures. Today was unfortunate - I went to bed at midnight, and my first lecture wasn't until 12:30pm. So I decided not to set my alarm, because I "knew" I'd get up in time for it, being unable to sleep for more than 12 hours at once (having slept well for the last few nights). Woke up at 2pm. Damn damn damn. Setting my alarm tonight, and I will go to my lectures, even if it kills me. I don't want to be kicked out.

Earning money. I've figured that, if I put enough of my life on the web, eventually somebody will buy the rights to me. I just need to go commercial, that's all - then the relevant company will pay me in order for me to continue living, thus increasing their potential profits when they finally cash in on my life. It's not so ridiculous as you think.

A project. Dunno what yet. I have a Maplin catalogue, and I figure it's a nice way of spending my time - making something. I've ordered some wire, some screw drivers and such, some connectors, some wire strippers, and I have a very-nearly-broken laptop. All I need to do is take it apart completely, rewire the sucker, and see what happens. It'll be a fun experiment to see if I can put the monitor of one laptop in parallel with the monitor of the other - no idea if that will work. And then, of course, there's the whole "what happens if I trip this particular chip", and "what if I rip it all apart and put it back together backwards". Basically, I'll have a lot of fun, keep busy, and perhaps learn something (even if that's just that 240VAC is a bad thing ;o)

Anyhow, more from me later. I'm sat in the computer labs, not knowing what to do, but just knowing that it's cheaper than doing the same thing at home :o)

HI, you don't know me. I just randomly picked you to see if you want to be my friend, cos I know you are cool. (I read your lj)
Yeah, so.
Reply if you feel like it :P
Stef

Is it top-to-bottom or bottom-to-top?

Best results are had from doing both - one bite each way up. Each way gives a different taste sensation :o)

Never read anything quite as amusing....

... but at the same time, quite so possible
