Life rocks. Oh yes.

Hang on though, it's nine in the morning, and I've already been at work for almost an hour.... How can that possibly be a good thing? Well, to be honest, I have no idea, I've just been really happy lately. Specifically, it might have something to do with the fact that I've finally finished making my alterations to the documentation, and finished printing it out, all 300 pages of it. And look - not a single paper cut in sight. Pretty much everything that I have to do for this week has been done, so now it'll just be the fun stuff, like database design...

Been spending my lunches with Chris lately - he's working just down the road, so it's nice to catch up with him... I've still not gone up to Warwick to see him and Mike yet, but I'm sure I'll get around to doing that next year (especially if they're hosting any frisbee tournaments). And in similar news I'm off to the pub with him and Mike tonight, although only for a couple of hours (and probably until no later than ten) since it's a weekday. I can't remember if they have darts at The Star, but if so, I shall challenge them to a game - I've been practicing loads on my darboard back in Brighton, so I'll hopefully win (I usually do).

I'd talk more in general right now, but there's something else I really want to write about, so I'll do that instead now... :o)

...you are not in "Dallas, Texas."

Re: Just an Observation...

This is indeed accurate

Re: Just an Observation...

Hey, I didn't get to be where I am today (my apartment) by being all 'inaccurate.'

And in similar news I'm off to the pub with him and Mike tonight, although only for a couple of hours (and probably until no later than ten) since it's a weekday

Shame on you for playing out on a school night!!!!!!!!

I know, shocking isn't it... I'll only have a couple of drinks - the last thing I want to do is get into work tomorrow morning hungover/still pissed :o)

Hehehe its ok once in a while but I admire your commitment! Well done!

Well the thing is, I'm so easy to fire... No contract, no specific position... I don't want to anger anybody by turning up to work barely able to function, on account of how I'm very lucky to have this job, and don't want to mess that up :o)

Ah - although I'm sure your particular situation is well catered for in Employment Law it never hurts to keep yer Graduates well reigned in *lash lash*!

;0)

I dunno, it's only a part time thing. I don't recall signing any contracts, all I do is e-mail the managing director every time I've got time off uni, and turn up. And while I have been working here on and off for two years now, I still don't think it counts for much legally :o)

It will do! If you do not have a contract then you will be covered by general Employment Acts which offer you certain rights as an employee.

I'm no expert though - I don't "do" HR as such I just work in an HR outsourcing company!

so now it'll just be the fun stuff, like database design...

Oh dear lord!

:)
