I'm impressed with myself... I was just messing around with my guitar, as one does, while just listening to MP3s... It came around to The Scorpions - Wind of Change, and I remembered that I once knew how to play the chords to that, when I was first playing guitar. So I gave it a go, but couldn't quite work it out again in full, so I just stuck my amp on overdrive, and played the melody instead, which I can generally work out as I go along. Then it got to the bridge, and the guitar solo, and something clicked inside my head... I actually managed to play the entire solo, first time, without ever having played it before, or seen how to play it. Now, I know it's not an exactly hard one, but still, just from remembering how it sounded, I managed to hit every single note correctly...

I'm just like, really happy I did that. I never knew I had it in me to do things like that with my guitar - I personally blame it on using a pick, which I've been doing for the last few weeks now. Until April of this year, I had never used one, favouring just using my fingers, but now I find I can do so much more with a pick (even though it took a while to get used to using one). Naturally, I only ever use those really small Gibson picks... Let that be a lesson to me - if I'd started using a pick a year ago, I'd be so much better now....

Without checking I would hazard a guess and say welcome to the world of pentatonic scales!

*sits back and waits for chiding* ;0)

you can do anything you want to do if you concentrate hard enough :x!

Shocking -- a public post with so few comments. Thine ego doth need pinpricking perchance. ;)

I think I have three public entries. Not very many.

Yes, but you could still do with having fewer ;o)

*grins* I don't know how to take that. I like it. Makes me wonder. ;)

Yeah, I'd thought of doing the whole "NO public posts" thing but eh, whatever, right?

Then you can put a funny message in your "No Posts Yet" thing. If there is one. I forget....
