Nachos work well with marmite - very well in fact. I am a fan of this newly created food. The one problem is that the marmite nachos don't go well with salsa, so it's kind of an either-or thing. Oh well, still, I invented a new yummy variation on my normal food. Oh, and adding Oregano to the grated cheese before cooking helps too - brings out a nice Italian flavour, or something :o)

Now shown both Alex and Jimbo the latest (until about two hours time) episode of Friends - it managed to convert both of them to my way of thinking, which is impressive, since they were so against it before. Yay me :o)

I would just like to say the following:

bleurgh!

Thank you.

Hmm. Depends on the sort of nacho experience you're going for ...

There's yer basic Nachos 'n' Cheese, which would be splendid with Marmite ...

Nachos 'Grande' or something similar, which is mince and/or refried beans, salsa, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, onions, and olives ... now to me, if you skipped the mince/beans business and turfed the salsa, then threw in the Marmite, that'd still be quite a grand meal.

And the Nachos 'n' Salsa by itself business, which I don't think would benefit from the addition of Marmite one bit.

I've always been tempted to just mix sour cream and Marmite and try that ... mmmm ... 8-)

Well yeah, my normal Nachos are just basically taco shells, bashed up a bit, covered with cheese, and grilled or baked until the cheese has all melted, and then eaten with salsa. Which works excellently with Marmite, although one has to remember, cheese cools in the atmosphere a lot faster than marmite - the cheese might be at an acceptable temperature for eating, but the marmite can still be liquid and piping hot. Oops ;o)

As for Nachos 'Grande', I think I had that at Taco Bell, but didn't especially enjoy it. It had funny green bits on it, and refried beans are icky, and sour cream is okay but not something I'd choose to eat if given the choice, and..... You get the idea :o) I don't make that :o)

And Nachos and Salsa would work very well, actually. On the chips that didn't have cheese but had marmite, the marmite kinda baked itself onto the chips, and make them taste something like Twiglets (if you've never had those, then it's kind of a marmitey sort of snack food) - so really, I could have Nachos and Marmite easily. But I like the cheese - I put on a lot of the stuff :o)

As for Sour Cream and Marmite, I expect it would work, but I won't be the man to try it :o)

Ooh, rather like the pizza idea! I like that, food that fights back is always more fun. ;-)

Taco Bell can be a bit dodgy at the best of times ... I've had to develop a mild enthusiasm for refried beans purely because I'm allergic to beef, but really, they look like barf. ;-)

Ooh, nacho Twiglets, what an idea! (I came across Twiglets years ago in an English import shop ... they were actually my introduction to Marmite. An acquired taste *they have amazing way of ripping all the skin off the inside of your mouth, hmm?*, but quite lovely ...)

I'll give you an update on the Sour Cream and Marmite idea as soon as I manage to find a good hiding spot for the next jar of Marmite ... every time my mum discovers I have some, she nicks it and makes gravy out of it. %-)

Rachel should've said yes when Joey proposed ;-)

Heh, absolutely :o)

Have you seen 812 yet? I'm just waiting for 813 to become available - it was shown last night :o)

Not yet, but I'll download it today :-)

I've seen it so many times already - it's so sweet :o)

I'm downloading it now, and while I wait for it to be done I'm practicing Adam's Song on bass :-)
