So anyway...
2012

An hour until my next lecture. Ideally, I would like to either go shopping or go get a drink from the flat right now, but I don't really have time to do either. A 15 minute walk to the flat and back is hardly a constructive use of my time, after all, and I need to look up a few details about this afternoon's lectures.

*goes to do that*

Hmm, the server seems a bit slow...

*goes back to doing it*

Yup, 4pm, Intro to Programming, in room ENGG2-AS3. That's helpful, I'm sure. Except that I have no idea where any of that stuff is, and even if I did, I'm still not sure if I'm meant to go. It does say that it runs in week 1 only, before reverting back to my "real" timetable, but I really don't know... Oh well, only one way to find out, I suppose. However, until then, I have nothing to do. Earlier on, I considered sacrificing some beer money (well, tequila money, or whatever) and buying Fight Club on DVD. Thankfully, I remembered just in time that I have no means of playing it on my computer, since I've not got the first thing about setting up my DVD-Rom drive to actually play the buggers. Consequently, I'll just add it to my Christmas list and move along :o)

OK, set up a wish list on the thing now. That will be nice, if anybody ever wants to be kind and buy me something. Otherwise, GTH. You can find it here.

Anyhow, since I was busy making that, and not doing this, the time is now a shocking 3:25 (having previously been 3:00). Not long before my next lecture, and I'm hungry. On my way home, I think I may very well take a little detour to the shops and buy some maple syrup, bacon, more ham, and perhaps something else to fry. I wonder if bacon-wrapped sausages fry properly. Otherwise, I shall just have to ask mummy for cooking instructions and make them the usual way instead. Either way, that's what I want to make a lot of right now...

Ho hum... It's so nice to know that as of 4:50pm today, I have no lectures until 11:30am on Monday. And the fact that I live so close to where I have lectures (well, as in "on campus", rather than miles away) means that gaps between lectures allow me to go home, or come here and go on computers. So basically, rather than a long hard day of hard stuff (i.e. work), I get a nice day of fun, with the occasional period of study. Very groovy...

Anyhow, I've taken my money out for this week already, so I must be careful not to spend it. I have to say that it's easier than I thought it would be - I got money out for the concert, which I had been mentally putting aside for it anyway. This actually, surprisingly enough, lasted me through the week. The £60 I got out on Weds fully expecting to be using for this week and next week hasn't even been touched (although if I go shopping later it will be, but at least it's for a good cause (i.e. me having food), and I still have some change on me for drinks should those occur. And since our flat is having a party tomorrow night, that means that I won't have to buy any drinks. Basically, my money management has worked rather well, considering how bad I thought it was going to be...
