Wow... Last night...
2012

The maths party was, as expected, a maths party. Groups of 5-8 people standing around discussing Uni from a maths point of view. Until one by one, we all just meandered down to the pub. Except our group - Grrr! Anyhow, so I went back to the flat for a while, and Mice got in at about 8pm. After she ate, we decided to go back out, just as Claire came back. Apparently (later confirmed), Fiona (evil scary girl) had been seen with another guy, so we felt the need to go see them. With four girls in tow, I went down to the bar....

Really, the point of the evening was to get me started on Aftershock, since I've not had it yet and it's meant to be good. We first went to the Grapevine to have a few preparatory drinks (and since that was where Fiona had gone with her poor unsuspecting fool). After a double brandy and a JD and coke, I was in a nice happy place. Claire had had this funny blue liquid, which tasted vaguely of raspberries, so I went an ordered a treble of that and downed it in two. I'm still not sure what it was, or whether indeed it had any alcohol in it at all, but the others were of the opinion that it was raspberry vodka. Whatever....

So then we went to get our Aftershocks. We went to East Slope bar, but they'd run out of the stuff (horror!). I honestly can't remember whether I had a drink there or not, but I don't think I did. I'm fairly sure we then went to Falmer bar to get the Aftershocks instead (Mice and I were very insistent, so the rest of them joined us). There we met Ebs and his friends, and went to get the drinks in. Shock! Sold out too! We have decided to buy in a bottle, to make sure that doesn't happen again. So we decided to just have Tequila instead. Armed with salt (for before) and lemon (for after), we had a couple of those each. We then went back to East Slope for some reason, and I had a double JD and coke. Then the girls met some guy called Matt (don't ask), who kindly gave Mice half a bottle of wine, and the rest of us... well... less than that. But still wine, which we all drank a couple of glasses-worth of...

By this time, Mice and myself were completely out of it, and staggered back to the flat, each leaning on the other in an attempt to stay vaguely vertical. On arrival back there, everybody else was sat around the kitchen, so we joined them. The rest of the evening is very hazy, but I do remember the following things: Harriet slapped me very hard, not for any other reason than I told her to. Claire threatened to fight me, to which I basically said "bring it on", but thankfully since she's a nice person, she didn't actually do it (she's a lot stronger than me, see...). Yeesh, that would have been bad. Um, Mice gave me a right thump because I told her to, which was thankfully numbed by the alcohol. She then almost went to sleep in my lap, and was generally falling everywhere (mostly on me) in a drunken haze. I believe photos were taken... I believe (although can't be sure) we went to bed just after 2am. Still not broken the "never in bed before 2" rule, which is good, and tonight will probably also conform to said rule, what with the concert...

Anyhow, in short, I had a great time last night. Still not printed out my journal, so I can't tell you about the first few days yet, but I'll sort it some time soon...

Anyhow, I'm bored of you all. I'm off to do something else... :o)
