Um...
2012

Well, I'm in New York. It's all very nice. Mary took me and Kristen out to dinner at a nice restaurant by the water - my seat faced the Statue of Liberty, it was all beautifully lit at night, and a jazz quartet was playing groovy music. It really was like something out of a movie.

And yet, I still spent the whole time thinking about Jen, about how she was, what she was doing, etc.... It's been just ten hours and already it's too long. While I was in Pennsylvania, we were never apart for long - the longest was two hours once, and nothing else was longer than thirty minutes. During the first week we were never more than fifty feet from each other ever, and during the last week, we were never apart, we ate together, we stood at the side of roads in bathing suits together, we slept together (in the sense of becoming unconscious in each others' company, you dirty little people), and generally we were just together. How do you go from being with somebody all the time to just not seeing them?

Anyway, so I'm in New York. Brian is going to be here tomorrow, so no doubt the two of us will have much catching up to do, before we inevitably go hang out around the city, just generally having fun. I hope. I want to have fun. I want to stop feeling sad. I want to stop crying FFS... Ho hum...

So anyway, let's see..... The train ride into New York was quicker than it was meant to be - the train was an hour and a half late geting to Lewistown, but got to New York on time, so we saved 90 minutes of travel...

Um, please excuse my typing. I'm on an iMac, and I seriously can't use this keyboard right. and the letters are displayed funny on the screen. But I can just about find the * key ;o)

A few fun things... The other day, it rained like so much. So we all put our bathing suits on and ran around outside in only those. It was so cool. Then we stood by the side of this massive puddle in the road, and invited cars to drive through it real quick and splash us, which they did - lots. When we eventually got bored of that, we went back to the house, where the pool was warmer than the air, so we all got in and messed about in there for ages. That was fun.

Also fun was getting spray bottles (and hairspray bottles in the case of Si), filling them with water, and going around Belleville attacking people. We got Alex, Nick, Si, and Brian. We were going to get Richie, but he'd probably not have been so happy with that, so... Then we were going to go get Tobin and Matt, but we couldn't find them, no matter where we looked, but we got to drive around like gangsters anyway. We were gonna go hit Norman, but like, he wasn't where he's meant to be. Then we were gonna do some drive-by Amish wetting at the Sale Barn, but there were none. So we went home. Speaking of Sale Barns, Jen-Jen showed me some emergency stops there in the car the other day. Was it last night? Yeah, I think so. Just after Pizza Hut. Fun :o)

Anyway, it's pretty much bed-time now... So g'night all. I leave you with an extract from my physical journal:

"After four months waiting, and four hours of delays, I'm here - America. I haul my luggage through the gate and start looking for her. She's not to either side of me, I don't think. Then I look ahead, and I see her stood in front of me. I hug her, and I know she was worth the wait"

"Hey Dash, wanna go to Dairy Queen?"
"Roll, bitch, roll!"
"I've hidden the bag of boobies"
"Your stomach is warm, can I put my knee in it?"
"Dash, you dork!"
"Only if you promise to bite me"
"Do you wanna die?"
"Just kidding"
"Guess what"
"I forgot"
"I love you"

*sigh*

Tonight, I'm going to fall asleep wearing my pants-leg hat, with Gizmo on one hand, and my lion finger-puppet on the other, probably crying all the way. I'm not looking for pity here though kids - just telling it like it is.

Some sarcy comment...

...is what you'd expect. But I'll give you a break for the moment.

Trees swayin' in the summer breeze
Showin' off their silver leaves
As we walked by

Soft kisses on a summer's day
Laughing all our cares away
Just you and I

Sweet sleepy warmth of summer nights
Gazing at the distant lights
In the starry sky

They say that all good things must end some day
Autumn leaves must fall
But don't you know that it hurts me so
To say goodbye to you
Wish you didn't have to go
No no no no

And when the rain
Beats against my window pane
I'll think of summer days again
And dream of you

They say that all good things must end some day
Autumn leaves must fall
But don't you know that it hurts me so
To say goodbye to you
Wish you didn't have to go
No no no no

And when the rain
Beats against my window pane
I'll think of summer days again
And dream of you
And dream of you
