So, my evening
2012
unknownj
I should really talk about it, shouldn't I.... I'd have posted sooner, but in the words of the great Paul Whitehouse, I was "very, very drunk". So, let's start from the beginning.

So, half past five, I leave the flat and go down to East Slope bar, to collect Vicky and Lollo. Having done that, we all wandered off to the station, seeing Harry and Ken on the way. He seemed to be an OK sort of bloke, so... Anyhow, met up with the others at Falmer, and went to the station. All got tickets, and got the train in - sadly, Harry and Ken missed it, so they had to get the next one.

It was so strange, having ten of us on the train at once - there really are a lot of people in our flat really. Photographs were taken (there's one of James leaping on me that I need to find and destroy ASAP), and fun was had by all until we got to the station. There, we left the train, and wandered down to the off-license. The place was BYOB, so we bought (and so subsequently brought) about 9. Well, you know, that's what you're meant to do....... So, Harry caught up, and we met Joyce, so we had all twelve of us. Lollo, Joyce, James, Tolis, Alex, Ebs, Mice, Harry, Annie, Me, Vicky, Claire. The entire flat, all out somewhere together, for (I believe) the first time ever. A truly momentous occasion.

It was a Lebanese restaurant - I had no idea what to expect. However, it was really nice, and offered a lot of choice on the menu. I elected to have the Chicken Fillet (yes Dad, I actually ate out somewhere - tell Mum, she'll be amazed!!), and some water. For the actual drinks, of course, we had the wine. Ebs and I had bought a bottle between us, and drank half each (I downed several glasses to prove some obscure point), which got us both nicely tipsy. I then had a couple of shots of Annie's Jack Daniels, since she was offering (well, when I asked her, anyway ;o). Many many pictures were taken, and we all had a good time. We had a serious bonding moment, since the TV on the wall there was showing BBC2, and they had the Fresh Prince on. Well, naturally, half the flat started singing along to the classic theme tune - we had such a laugh doing that :o)

Anyway, eventually the meal ended, people were finished with their wine and whisky, and we made our way down to the beach. Mice, Tolis and Annie all parted company with us, having better things to do or something ,so... Ebs got all cold, and I gave him my jacket - I felt well proud of myself, since I was sufficiently warm inside from the wine that I wasn't cold at all. That, plus the fact that he had a thin shirt on, whereas I had my thick grey one, but still....

Anyhow, we got to the beach, and sat around. At one point, Jimbo tried to throw Lollo in the sea, so Ebs and myself ran after him, I brought him to the ground, and we were going to throw him in the sea. Sadly, he was kicking me so hard that I decided not to. Then more altercations followed - I picked Vicky up and made a run for the sea, but kinda fell over before I got there. I was immediately set upon by various girls all trying to put me in the sea for my crime - a plan I was not happy with. I escaped, and ran back to the others, and lay back down on the pebbles. Many photos were taken of everybody then too.

Anyway, we then walked up to a bar, where I had four double brandies, which seriously got me wasted. Let's just recall - four double brandies, a double JD, and half a bottle of wine. I don't think I've ever drunk so much in my life. Lightweight? Probably, but that's beside the point. I'm still impressed.

OUCH!

Sorry, I have hiccups. It's very painful (always is for me) - I'm close to screaming with chest pain here. Ouch.

Anyway, yes, totally inebriated, we all hung around in the bar and chatted - Claire and I had a big heart-to-heart, which was nice. Then practically everybody else left, so we decided to go on to a club. Claire, Vicky, Alex and myself wandered down to the Honey Club, where they played some seriously great music. I was stood on a podium in the smaller room the whole time, dancing to the likes of Come On Eileen, Grease, Club Tropicana, Do You Love Me? (Now That I Can Dance), Waterloo, Uptown Girl, and other seriously kickass tunes. Had such a great time.

Anyhow, eventually we left, since the place was kinda closing, so we went and got a bus home, on which I ate many of Claire's chips (but if anybody asks, I don't eat chips - got it?). We all then got home, and I made myself about 8 slices of toast, on account of being hungry. Then chatted to people. Until now. Now I'm writing my journal, and am about to go to bed to sleep off the alcohol and hiccups. But yeah, just for Joyce, I made sure that for her official last night party, I had one of the best times I've had at Uni. So yeah, I've had a great time. G'night :o)
