Something I will never be.
I'll never be a musician. This is fact, I'm not trying to pretend otherwise. There are people who create music, and there are people who are created by music. I'm most certainly in the latter group. Anyway, just so you know, my current Winamp playlist goes something like this:
  1. Everclear - Song from an American Movie part 1
  2. Everclear - Song from an American Movie part 2
  3. James - Ring the Bells (live)
  4. Live - They Stood Up For Love (TAS)
  5. Roxette - Wish I Could Fly
  6. R.E.M. - The Great Beyond
  7. R.E.M. - Imitation of Life
  8. The Beatles - Yesterday
  9. The Ataris - San Dimas HS Football Rules (acoustic)
  10. Lifehouse - Breathing (acoustic)
  11. Lifehouse - Hanging by a Moment - Acoustic
  12. Tonic - If you could only see (acoustic)
  13. Sixpence None the Richer - Love
  14. Thomas Newman - So Was Red (Shawshank Soundtrack)
  15. Thomas Newman - End Title (Shawshank Soundtrack)
  16. Thomas Newman - Main Theme (Shawshank Soundtrack)
  17. Def Leppard - When Love & Hate Collide
  18. Pearl Jam - Untitled
  19. Incubus - Stellar
  20. Captain Sensible - Happy Talk
  21. Duran Duran - Ordinary World (Acoustic Version)
One thing I like about music - nobody can figure me out through it. It's what builds me, but it's not a set of blueprints. By that, I mean nobody, nobody, can look at that playlist and know what I'm thinking, how I feel. But it shows it. I'm being completely open, and utterly incomprehensible. That's quite an achievement.

It's funny how some people can misjudge your character so badly. Doesn't happen a lot - I'm usually obvious enough that people can read me like a book, certainly the first few chapters anyway. There are always a precious few who skip to the last page, and completely miss the plot, or any complexity. That's what you get when you don't pay attention. And you're the one who misses out, when everybody else has read the book, and you just don't get it.

And then there's somebody who knows your book, who wrote a few chapters herself. She doesn't have to read you, because she already knows how the story goes. A person who will never put the book down, because the reader needs the book as much as the book needs the reader. I love her, and I hope you all know how much I mean that.

And look, two whole paragraphs using a book related metaphor and not using the "Never judge a book by its cover" cliché. Anybody want to award me with a prize for that?

Anyway, I'm in one of those moods where I seek to baffle and confuse, rather than enlighten and elucidate. You all know the drill. Still sane, mind. Hooray for sanity ;o)

what is the 'Pearl Jam - untitled' song? :-)

It's a short live track. I think they were meant to release it as a single at one point, I don't recall. I just know that I've got it, and I love it...

is there any chance that you upload it somewhere? I sort of became intrigued......:-)

Now, as an experienced book seller I think ther is all ready a book like that avaliable!!!
