I got two A's in Maths at a-level, and that was before they brought in this AS/A2 rubbish.. In fact, getting an A in Further Maths should really be even more rewarded, but still, that's a cool grand that I'd have received if I was a decade younger..

Bah, it's just a bit vexing.. I mean, you go to a comprehensive school, you work your nuts off, you ace five different science qualifications at a-level (okay, so I only got a B in Chemistry, but it was a blip!), and you get told "jolly well done".. Then a few years later, they want to start handing out cash prizes for the thing that you did just for the sheer fun of it..

Seriously - since when has "knowing you're brilliant" not been its own reward?

Hopefully any forthcoming additional monetary rewards for this will allow me to retire rather early...
