Gig report, like..
2012
unknownj
Since I can update my journal from gigs, I may as well try to actually write about this one while I'm at it... Right now the first support act are on, and are actually rather good.. They remind me of New Order, though with more guitars.. Maybe a bit of Suede in there too.. Better than your average support act, anyway..

..

It's getting on for 9pm now, and the crowd starts screaming every time a roadie walks across the stage, or when a track finishes in the background music.. The stage seems fairly set up though, so here's hoping it won't be too long..

..

Fucking awesome, they played Slide.. Surrounded by two new songs that are somewhat arse.. But on well, no matter :o)

..

Meh, call me a snob if you want, but to me Gutterflower is just too new.. Bring on the classics!

..

Black Balloon is a bit better, but I'm still holding out for the Superstar Carwash material ;o)

..

Hmmm, this is a new song, but it's sung by the scary goblin guy, so it's quite good..

..

After a couple of new ones, they're now playing the sell-out over-hyped monster that is Iris.. I can sense emo kids everywhere crying (including Naomi ;o).. It's not bad or anything.. Just prefer actual rock.. Ho hum!

..

Ugh, the band thinks January Friend is in the 'old stuff' category.. It isn't.. But it's still a good song :o)

..

Broadway just gave me tingles :D

..

They're playing that newfangled 'Better Days' - a song that goes nowhere and is desperately missing a climax.. It goes towards one, then turns limp..

..

More new stuff.. Oh well..

..

Christ, how much new material do they have, and when will they run out? They haven't played anything pre-Dizzy yet.. This is what I get for seeing them half a decade late ;o)

..

Oh well, they played new songs until the end of the set.. Still, well worth it :o)
