The Ultimate Sandwich
2012
unknownj
OK, here we go again - another recipe for my Ultimate Sandwich. However, slightly modified - I have perfected it since I last posted it. You may not notice the difference, but there is one, trust me ;o)

The sandwich consists of many layers, arranged like so:

Toast
Butter
Marmite
Cheese
Bacon
Peanut Butter
Butter
Toast
Butter
Marmite
Bacon
Cheese
Peanut Butter
Butter
Toast

Now, here's the subtle difference - one way up, the sandwich has the marmite at the top, and peanut butter at the bottom. The middle slice of bread has a different spread on each side, and each half contains both spreads. That takes care of the order of the Marmite and Peanut Butter. However, we then have to decide about the filling. Well, since the bacon has a nasty habit of dissolving everything in its path, the bacon always goes on the inside. This means that the bacon is against both spreads at some point, as is the cheese. And it means your hands don't get so greasy. Perfect :o)

I advise you all to make and eat this sandwich. I like it, Vicky likes it, and that's good enough for me :o)

I have modified 'The Ultimate Sandwich of Doom.txt' on my computer, I *reaaly* need to get hold of some bacon sometime soon.

*lol*

Try it - it really is such a cool sandwich. Difficult to make, due to the number of components that need to be prepared at once, but well worth it :o)

<VOICE TUNE="One Of These Days..." TONE="Roger Waters w/ Pink Floyd">One of these days, my brother is going to trawl you and cut you into little pieces...</VOICE> :-)

That was scary for so many reasons...

Any particular sort of cheese?

Mild cheddar seems to work rather well...

Mm, that sounds good.

What about Philadelphia?

No, that is unacceptable. The reason being, I mocked a flatmate for eating Marmite and Philadelphia, and as such, I can't be seen to go back on that. So Philadelphia is wrong. Sorry :o)

Ah dear ... a sandwich with a political history, what a shame ... 8-)

That's the thing, it's not just a sandwich. It's a representation of my life, and my journey through university, encompassing the things I have learned (i.e. bread dissolves in enough bacon fat), and the things I have experienced. All in the medium of fat. It's an expression :o)

I'd like to see you try your hand at the Spam-carving championships they have in Seattle every year ... 8-)

No. I have an Adjective Army for all my spamming needs :o)

I still have to insinuate my way into that one ... %-)

Indeed - come on, we're waiting :o)

*laughing* Well, I didn't want to be too pushy, y'know ... ;-)
