Whatever...

Went to my seminar this morning - hooray. The preparatory reading was very useful, and I was able to participate quite a lot in it... Plus, I got next to sit next to hot AI girl from lectures - that's always a good thing. We had to devise a strategy for a Prisoner's Dilemma style game, and I quite liked mine. I would cooperate every time, except in a game immediately after one in which I cooperated and the other person stitched me up. In general, I think I did quite well...

Anyhow, I had a good time in that seminar, spoke to a few people, and the tutor is rather good. So I'm pleased with that. It also marks a continued ability to attend everything - I have a maths lecture at 12:30pm which I shall also attend, followed by... well... some other thing later on as well. I really need to get around to putting my timetable online, so I can see it from here in the computing labs...

Just checked my attendance thing - it's been updated with the fact that I was there at yesterday's thing, so hooray. I've been to 1/4 Programming and 1/3 AI things. Not so bad, and I'm going to everything now. So yay.

Anyhow, let's regress back to last night... At about 10pm, myself, Claire, James and Alex all went to Park Village lounge... It's, like, the tiniest little bar you could ever imagine, it's actually quite claustrophobia-inducing. However, had a drink or two there with them, and just chatted. It's nice to know where the bloody place is now, so that I can go there tomorrow for the radio thing. Must remember to get passport photos before then...

We talked about getting a flat, too. James knows some people who own a flat 2 minutes from the station, 5 people, for students. While an 8 person flat is our goal, James seems to think that a 5 person flat with him, myself, Claire, Alex and Harry will be just as good (since he has "issues" with Vicky and Mice)... Anyhow, at about 10:55pm, Laura's friend (I forget his name, the old bloke) who was the DJ type thing there put on a stand-up thing. It was incredibly amusing, especially something akin to...

"It's amazing that people are so divided on this abortion thing... I mean, my friends, they're all intelligent people, but they're so divided on it. One half thing the Pro-Life people are annoying idiots, and the other half think that the Pro-Life people are evil fucks. Annoying idiots / Evil fucks / Annoying idiots / Evil fucks...
...
... You know what the Pro-Lifers should do? Stop blocking the abortion clinics. Start blocking the cemetaries. Let's see how dedicated you people really are"

Very amusing... If anybody can tell me who that is, and where I can find that particular record, I'd be very happy :o)

Had a low point last night, and so spent a lot of it just lying down on Alex's floor with my eyes shut, harping on about God knows what. She appreciates the fact that (for once) I was being emotional, but I just think it was kinda pathetic - I really need to stop being such a wuss at times. Bah. Specifically, I also need to stop impulse-buying DVDs every time I get a bit depressed - that's not going to help me :o)

Anyhow, I guess that's it for now - I'm going to go buy some food (sweets, most likely) and wait for my next lecture... Can't think of anything else to do, after all... :o)

Impulse buying DVDs is a good thing! Until the bank statement arrives... At least you haven't impulse-signed up yourself into one of these impossible-to-get-out-of DVD clubs like me!

I've spent more on DVDs in the last month than you will ever have to spend on that DVD club... :o(
