TERORITS HABE BLOWED UP THE SPAEC PLAEN!
2012

I can't decide who is the more stupid. The media, for having to tell us repeatedly that the space shuttle incident was probably not terrorists, or the general public, who need that reassurance to prevent them from drawing their own (stupid) conclusions. Or me, for bothering to mention any of it...

In other news, I have green hair.... Pictures to follow later :o)

.. The sound now turns to silence, but I keep spinning around naked in the rain of my own tears as they fall into the bucket of your apologies and I'm closing everyone else's eyes ..

to be fair, when the mission was launched they did go on about how security had been tightened because of the presense of an Israeli on board, thus making it even more of a "potential" (in the loosest possible sense of the word..) target.

::shrugs::

At that time it might have been a valid point.. But right now, it's not - why does everything always have to come back to terrorism? It's beyond stupid.

It's beyond stupid.

um.. welcome to Earth? ;-)

Thanks J--You always make great points for me when I'm not in the mood for mustering up enough misanthropy to do it myself. But, I also wanna say:

[rant] I'm not trying to be insensitive. I know that a tragedy has just occurred. My next door neighbor's brother was an astronaut. But, space exploration is something I've never been too keen on. Whenever I tell people that, they think I'm psychotic. I've never met anyone who agrees with me.

Don't get me wrong, it's really cool and all. I've always loved science. But, I think excessive would be a good word for it. It's like JFK embedded something genetic in all Americans during the whole "moon race" and people lost all sense of logic. We spend billions on this stuff--more than enough to fully repair social security and most other social programd that are fucked up in this country. And, for what? So ten people can die every decade or so and multi-billion dollar machines can be incinerated because some moron didn't know how to install an O-ring? Urgggh. [/rant]

Okay, I'm done. :o)

i think it's tragic that a bunch more talented people lost their lives because the american space program is too conservative and fucking cheap to replace the delapidated space shuttle program. and that is all.
